You wont get lost in Langkawi cos theres signboards everywhere..!!

It is located somewhere in Kuah Town.
I had Roti Canai aka Roti Prata.... Power gilerrrr!!!! Serious!

We proceed to Mahsuri Mausoleum which is located at Kota Mahsuri
(Kampung Mawat, 17.8 km northwest of Kuah).
Mahsuri was a young woman from the island of Langkawi in Malaysia who was accused of adultery and executed by stabbing. Her tomb, Makam Mahsuri, in Langkawi, has become a tourist attraction on the island.

One of Mahsuri's museums...No photography is allowed but i dont care! hahaha!
The statues really looked real.
We're IMPRESSED!
=D

MAHSURI's execution....
Actually, i kinda felt eerie over there.(even now!)
Bcos Langkawi is well known for Mahsuri's CURSE.
Till now, whenever there's a Mahsuri's play, especially the last part when she was about to be executed, there will always be thunder sounds from the sky...

Parents shopping for Ubat Gamat... a Must buy when u visit Lgk...

Next stop,
"Beras Terbakar" (The Field of Burnt Rice)

Soon after legendary Mahsuri’s death, the Siamese army made an attack on the Langkawi island. In desperation, the chief ordered the all the rice in the island to be burnt down to prevent it falling into Siamese hands. The remnants of burnt rice can still be seen at this spot known as the Field of Burnt Rice especially after a heavy downfall.

The curse is believed to have been the cause of the island’s lack of development which lasted until the birth of Aishah Nawawi in 1980 , a direct descendant of Mahsuri, after seven generations.
